Here we have a five year old Staoisha, which is what a peated Bunnahabhain is called! It was distilled on Islay in 2013 and left in a sherry butt for its entire maturation. Càrn Mòr bottled the smoky whisky in 2019, with an outturn of 681 bottles at 47.5% ABV.
Nose: Brown sugar, smoked dried fruit and bonfire ash.
Palate: Maritime saltiness appears, with malt cereal, smoky sea air and stewed orchard fruit.
Finish: Sherry influence on the finish with a pinch of mineral saltiness.
